I shouldn’t have read this article. I advise not reading it, there are a lot of details and it’s awful. That poor little girl.

What a fucking savage animal to do this to a baby girl. I’m sick to my stomach after reading the details of this case. It is horrifically graphic.

A horrific case. Thankfully, the man concerned found the courage and resolve, despite the years that had passed, to go to the police and finally lay bare the events of that day.
She will now rightfully spend the remainder of her life facing a lawful and public reckoning for what she did to the children in her care, and for the death of a little girl who depended on her for protection and safety.
Awful awful case.

How utterly horrific. What an evil woman. To think that little girls brother was in such fear of that woman he lied about her killing his sister.

That poor little girl – beggars belief. Her brother has carried this with him for such a long time it must be a relief to be able to tell someone.

Knew this woman as a colleague some years back, was so shocked to see her on the news, I was like, “No way, she’s a nice woman”. She was so well liked around the workplace everyone called her Aunty Jan. Goes to show you never really know anyone. Fucking hell.
EDIT just read the story in full, I feel sick. Evil woman. That poor brother, living with that terrible secret for all those years. He got his sister justice, more power to him. Hope he can find some peace in that.

Well done Desmond. Especially for coming forward after all these years. May she rest in peace.

I feel so sorry for the brother, having to hold that knowledge, that guilt (I know he did nothing wrong, but I’m sure he’ll feel he should have spoken up sooner) for decades.
Deserves so much respect for speaking up and getting his sister justice in the end. Can’t imagine how difficult it was to walk into a police station and say those words.

I wish I hadn’t read that. That poor girl. Children should be loved and cherished.

The girls skin fell off,
Her brother heard the water running upstairs, beforehand
The mother screamed at her to get in the bath
She said “I can’t. The water is too hot, mummy”
The mother obviously has held the kid in the water, leaving her screaming in pain, all over the house. Killing her

I’d bet money she’s going to have boiling sugar water thrown at her in the next year.

When my daughter was about two years old, I accidentally put her in a bath that was far too hot (her dad had run it, but he hadn’t finished adding the cold water yet). When I realised my error, I pulled her out immediately, and her legs were red. She was fine, but it made her afraid of the bath for a few days. I felt horrible about it, and so lucky that it wasn’t worse. It still upsets me to think about it.
What an awful way to kill an innocent little girl.

She’s a shining example of the cause she spent her life fighting for (reform and second chances) meaning nothing.
Honestly, her living a secret life as a murderer while lecturing the rest of society to not be judgemental, to be more accepting and give a second chance is exactly why people feel the way they do and don’t buy it. Because they are suspicious that you never really know who someone is and what someone is capable of until they’ve done it. And they think having a past makes you more suspicious.
She has proven that mindset right, not wrong.
Was Janice really fighting some noble, seemingly society-advancing cause or was it all actually just for her so she could hide in plain sight?
Is there any proof or are they just going based off her son’s testimony?
Edit: simple query about proof for a 50 year old case being downvoted just shows how moronic the average user on this sub is, jesus christ

Poor girl. And this evil witch probably won’t get any jail time either.

I had to really fight my toddler tonight to get her in her sleeping bag. She cried so much during and afterwards and it took way too long. I felt so guilty about it all evening. I just can’t imagine how people can feel anything but love toward tiny human beings that demand on you for love and survival. Those poor children.

I first came across this story a few weeks ago when it was still at trial. I was so upset and disgusted at the details and felt distressed for days with these intrusive thoughts and images appearing in my mind.
I googled this woman and couldn’t believe she was somewhat of a public figure. I have been waiting for this story to become big news so other people can hate her as much as I do (I don’t know why there is comfort in numbers).

Not only did she destroy that little girl’s life, even if she survived she would have been horribly scarred for life, she destroyed the lives of her victim’s brother and their family.
She went on to create her own family and has destroyed their lives with this too.
Demonic.

I am so proud of her brother, for coming to terms with the abuse and managing to bring it up. That can’t have been easy for him.
There will probably be so many zillion comments attacking him for not speaking sooner, but jeez that must have been horrific for him to relive and accept as an adult.
Your mum is supposed to be the person who loves and protects you, and you love her and depend on her unconditionally. It must be incredibly difficult to overcome that instinct.

Not only that, but she’s 67 and her living son is 56…

Also read another news article on The Independent that apparently she ‘missed the excitement’ of her former life and started using crack cocaine while her other child Nadia would be asleep. Source: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/janice-nix-breaking-out-mama-j-b2983690.html
