Not expired, past best before. Mustard keeps extremely well, 2 years easy after opening. Unopened and sealed it’ll keep good much longer.

Yes. Although it’s fine to eat, I’d return it just because of principle. If we are going to pay the highest grocery prices on the planet we shouldn’t have to put up with shenanigans.

I.e. this must have been sold to you as a product that was past its best. The seller must make you aware of it before you buy.
