Last time I said these salaries are close to minimum wage and people didn’t believe it
70k gross becoming €3700 net and starting January 2027 the minimum wage gets raised to €3451
The difference is only €300
The same situation already exists today with €60k accounting salaries, where again they’re only making €300 more than e.g. a McDonald’s shift manager
I keep telling people on these 60/70k salaries to “have a curious look” at what’s happening in hospitality and construction and use what they learn to have some serious conversations with their accounting/banking/etc. employers because in a lot of cases the gap is so small it’s really embarrassing
