China-based PV and ESS supplier JinkoSolar has signed a 115 MW agreement with an Italian clean energy investor. Under the agreement, JinkoSolar will supply Tiger Neo 3.0 modules for a utility-scale project across central and southern Italy. Southern Italian utility-scale plants face rising land costs, uneven terrain, undulating sites, and extreme heat. The Tiger Neo 3.0 modules are positioned for those conditions with up to 24.8% front-side efficiency, 670W output, and up to 85±5% bifaciality factor. Its rear-side light collection can provide bifacial generation gain of up to over 10% in reflective terrains. JinkoSolar said the module design can reduce BOS costs and LCOE under the same mounting, piling, and cable investment. The modules also have anti-shading architecture, a -0.26%/°C temperature coefficient, less than 1% first-year degradation, 0.35% annual degradation, and a 30-year lifecycle.
