SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Kids in Springfield got a taste of what it’s like to be a business owner on Saturday.

They showed off a month of work at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. At the showcase, they learned how to turn ideas into real business. Saturday’s showcase gave them the chance to experience selling their work to real customers.

“It’s helped me grow individually as well. It’s just really nice to get out into the community and share what you love to do with other people. It’s a very worthwhile experience,” said entrepreneur Madison Brown.

Organizers say the young business owners were selling everything from root beer floats and fried rice to crochet flowers and board games. They were awarded business licenses to celebrate their hard work.
