NEW YORK—L’Amy America has announced the appointment of David Low as director of business development, West, effective today, June 1, 2026. Low joins L’Amy America at a pivotal moment as it expands its portfolio with the launch of its luxury category and the addition of Billabong eyewear collections, the company said in an announcement. Low brings more than three decades of experience in eyewear sales and sales leadership, L’Amy America said, with a strong background in brand development, strategic growth and team management across the optical industry.

He has worked for companies including Oakley, Maui Jim and Marchon, where he advanced from a Nike representative to leadership roles with VSP. There, he oversaw teams and business development across the Western United States and Pacific territories.
Over the course of his career, Low has worked with a broad range of premium, sport and lifestyle eyewear brands. L’Amy America noted that he has earned a respected reputation for leadership, customer relationships and market development. He grew up in a family of optometrists and developed an early connection to the optical industry and an understanding of the independent eyecare community.
“David’s extensive industry experience and strong relationships throughout the optical community make him an outstanding addition to the L’Amy America team,” said Stephen Rappoport, president, L’Amy America. “As we continue investing in new categories and strategic growth opportunities, David will play an important role in supporting our customers and driving momentum across the Western region.”
