Nvidia chief Jensen Huang is expected to visit South Korea this week and meet with the heads of major business groups, which may help expand cooperation in artificial intelligence(AI) and robotics.

According to industry sources, the leading business mogul is scheduled to arrive in Seoul on Thursday night following his appearance at the Computex trade show in Taipei.

He will likely hold a series of meetings with South Korean business chiefs Friday.

Among those expected to meet with Huang are SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver founder and board chair Lee Hae-jin.

Samsung’s Lee Jae-yong is not expected to attend meetings due to an overseas engagement.

Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Eui-sun is also reportedly considering meeting with Huang.

Industry observers believe the upcoming discussions could extend beyond AI semiconductor collaboration to include robotics and physical AI, an emerging field that focuses on integrating AI with real-world machines and systems.

Huang’s trip to Seoul comes about seven months after his previous visit to South Korea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) CEO Summit in Gyeongju.

During that visit, Huang made headlines as he joined Lee and Chung for a late-night meal of Korean fried chicken and beer, commonly known as “chimaek.”
