There have never been Belarusian soldiers in Ukraine, and they will not go there – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko in his talk with journalists on the sidelines of the EAEU summit in Astana on May 29th, BelTA reports

“This will never happen. Never! Our soldiers have never been there, and they will not go there. He knows this as well, and the military knows,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The Head of State said that, when commenting – at the request of journalists – on aggressive statements coming from Kiev, including the ones on some five hundred potential targets allegedly identified on the territory of Belarus, “Let Volodymyr Aleksandrovich [Zelenskyy] excuse me, but it’s some kind of blather.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the Ukrainian military does not want any war with Belarus and understands perfectly well that they do not need an additional fifteen hundred kilometres of the frontline. The President believes that Kiev is being pushed by its European partners to make such aggressive statements, “Those were Europeans who pushed him to make such statements. How can they be fighting for Ukraine, while Ukraine itself stays silent? So, he blurts it out.”
“There is some kind of actions there as well. He has allegedly invited representatives of our fugitives. Well, I am glad that he [Volodymyr Zelenskyy] has invited them. Thanks to the Russians – the TV workers – who noticed that, I heard it on RTR. It’s good that they looked at our so-called opposition. This is not an opposition at all. These are bandits, and they expect that fighters from among Belarusians, Ukrainians, Poles and even Lithuanians will be trained there to further head [to Belarus] and capture a regional centre here,” the President noted. “God forbid a military attack is launched towards the territory of Belarus. The war in Ukraine will then become of a completely different character. I will not specify, you know [addressing the journalist] what I am talking about,” the Belarusian leader said.
