Heavy rain is expected across the southern regions and on Jeju Island.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, more than 80 millimeters of rain is forecast for South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang provinces and over 120 millimeters in mountainous areas of Jeju Island through Tuesday, with intense downpours possible during the early morning hours.
Tuesday morning lows will range between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius, while afternoon highs will reach 23 to 33 degrees, making it one of the hottest days of the year so far in many areas.
In Seoul, temperatures will fall to 18 degrees in the morning before rising to 33 degrees in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, the local election day, skies will gradually turn cloudy nationwide, with isolated showers possible in parts of the inland areas of the Gyeongsang and Jeolla provinces.
