Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of both today and the future, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov stated during the ministerial-level plenary session held within the framework of the 31st Baku Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“Although the availability of energy resources is important for ensuring energy security, this alone is not sufficient,” the minister noted.
According to the minister, reliability, long-term commitments, and resilience are the key factors for energy security.
Shahbazov noted that energy policies should be balanced, pragmatic, and future-oriented. He emphasized that the energy crises experienced in recent years have once again demonstrated the importance of diversifying energy sources, routes, and technologies.
The minister added that Azerbaijan, as a reliable and predictable energy supplier, contributes together with its partners to building energy security for both today and the future.
