      This is not true for Russia – it was always called “French disease”. The earliest Russian source mentions Polish troops being afflicted, but even there it is called “French disease”. (Sorry, French people.)

      Finnish Wikipedia knows that the first names in Finnish were French disease, due to the connection with Sweden.

      We should really go back to everyone blaming the French for things. Hell, odds are they actually deserve it anyway.
