The robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris, which took place on October 19, 2025, has gained an international dimension, after investigators discovered links to Belgium. Analysis of the phones of suspects from Eastern Europe revealed connections suggesting an organized network known for thefts. The calls and photos stored on the phones, especially those of the Gallery of Apollo, indicate a possible base of operations in Belgium.

French authorities have begun on-the-ground investigations in Belgium, searching for accomplices and organizers of the robbery. New discoveries suggest that the heist may have been orchestrated by wealthy international backers or specialized criminal networks. So far, the stolen items have not been recovered, but a hearing with French suspects could take place this week, and some of them may reveal the location of the stolen jewelry in exchange for reduced sentences.
