Berkshire Hathaway directly employs less than 30 people. Saying that they employ 400,000 is like saying Jeff Bezos employs 125,000 people because he owns 9% of Amazon’s shares. Berkshire is not the employer of hundreds of thousands.

Ironically Walmart and Amazon profit even more due to being the biggest recipients of food stamps and government aid. They pay their employees so little or keep them barely below full time and it’s on the taxpayer’s dime to actually subsidize their employees
