Never mind the headliner on avg gas prices, my takeaway here is the US strategic petroleum reserve sounds like its massively overstating usable capacity. It’s not viable as a strategic material stockpile if you can’t extract it at a pace reasonably expected to be needed, whether that’s to feed into passenger transportation or its earlier intent of military use. If 250 is that limit, then 250 is “empty”, and we should talk about it as such

    2. He didn’t refill it the last time so I don’t know why there’s the expectation that he’ll do it this time. I thought he told Biden that using it was prison worthy?

Doesn’t seem like a very “strategic” reserve if it’s only going to last a half year at full pull. “Wars begin when you will, but they do not end when you like.”

    4. I think we all know that most of this data has already been altered to not make the market shit its pants more than it is already doing.

Those red lines is what we are heading for, at this moment. And lets be fair, things could get even worse. But they don’t show that prognosis.

Green would only be possible if the strait opens today. Which lets be fair, ain’t happening. And probably won’t happen anytime soon with the current political situation.

So Yellow I would even see as an optimistic outcome.
