    1. Fun fact: Italy is the only country in Europe that had both a +48° and a -48°

    2. It’s nice that you can drive across the Ulster border and get 7 degrees of relief during the summer. /s

    3. Didn’t spain have 50+ a few summers back?

That one summer when their roads melted

Why doesn’t Europe just stop recording temperatures? Are they stupid?

Hard to believe, but Canada’s record high is higher than every country on this map. Canada, of all places.

Some parts of Canada get *HOT*.

Damn, highest ever of 30 and 33 for iceland and ireland is crazy. So temperate. Gulf stream coming in clutch. Enjoy it while it lasts I guess.

    7. Living right on the french-german border, we had 30°C max mid last week. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Since last sunday rain, rain, rain and max in the very low 20s.

It would be interesting to add the dates of the highest recorded temperatures to each country for those global warming deniers

    9. I think the Netherlands one isn’t completely sure. As they measured 42.9 degrees Celsius at a official weathering station. But that one is disputed as people claim it was an error or even people helping. Although it was possible that a heat dome, or at least a warm layer of air, came down shortly and upped the temperature.
