The veteran forward signed a deal to return to his native country with Farjestad of the Swedish Elite League, Michael Russo of The Athletic reported on Friday.
Johansson played for Farjestad from 2008-2010, racking up 15 goals and 15 assists over 87 games.
The 35-year-old is coming off his best point-producing season in the NHL since 2016-17, appearing in 75 games with 15 goals and 49 points.
Prior to joining the Wild in 2023 at the trade deadline, the Swede played for the Washington Capitals, Seattle Kraken, Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils.
He re-upped with the Wild last off-season, forgoing free agency by signing a one-year, $800,000 contract.
Johansson has suited up for 1,058 games with 200 goals and 566 points in a 16-year NHL career.
