The framing of your comment implies that the transitional govt of Syria, a govt which was actively at war with Iran, had received military support from Iran and used those weapons Iran apparently gifted them to aim it at Israel.

The previous Syrian govt was given weapons by Iran, which the transitional govt fought against to then inherit those weapons. Framing it as Iran gave the traditional govt weapons to aim at Israel is ABSURD, FALSE, DISHONEST, DELUSIONAL, and a straight up lie.
Secondly, what’s the evidence that they were pointed at Israel? What does that even mean? If I live in Turkey and my gun in facing towards the south am I pointing my gun at Israel? It is an undeniable mathematical fact that there probably are a handful of Israeli weapons pointing at every single country on earth right now. This is virtually useless without Hezbollah controlled positions in south, northeast Lebanon and south Beirut. Lebanon is not a functioning state and hasn’t been since the PLO was expelled from Jordan to Lebanon after 1970. Today, Lebanon is a vessel for Iranian/Hezbollah attacks on israel.
The fact that Israel is supported by the strongest military in human history and the Lebanese still are pushing back is astonishing. The Lebanese are really putting up a fight. Also, one should remember that occupying the territory is the easy part, to hold it is the difficult part, especially with drone warfare. Israel is going to have a nightmare keeping the occupied territories.
