Daniel Franke has left his role as executive investment director and team lead for technology investments at M Ventures, the corporate VC arm of German science and biotechnology company Merck KGaA.
A former GCV Rising Star, Franke joined M Ventures as an associate in 2019 after supporting the team as an analyst as part of the M Ventures fellowship. His areas of investment focus included semiconductors, photonics, optics and computer processors.
He did not disclose his next move.
M Ventures was founded in 2009 to invest in the biotechnology and technology sectors. The unit backs startups working on drug development, life science tools, electronics, frontier technology and sustainability.
