      It would be great if the residence cards were upload-able to Apple wallet too – i don’t *always* want to carry my wallet these days, like when going to the gym.

      Literally all of my credit cards are on my phone now too. Even the Japanese Wise one since last month.

      Wait… so it’s a different card from the MyNumber card we already have? Or is it simply adding the residence card data to the MyNumber card like you can do with your health insurance and drivers license?

      The last space on my Mynumber was filled by registering my katakana name in February. I was advised to apply for a new one, but told them as I‘m not planning to move I‘ll just wait till June to get this hybrid.

      You can receive it at the city hall when you renew mynumber (aka after 10 years, not just update your new status)

      I‘m a PR holder so it‘s going to be easy

      So I applied for an extension on the 13th of May, Still haven’t got my new Zairyu card yet, I’m curious will my new Zairyu automatically have a Mynumber on it when I eventually get the new Card? (Assuming after the 15th, obviously)

      Most likely to cutdown on illegal fraudulent employment as the employer will have to scan this card in the future if he doesn’t hire under the table.

      I hate the idea that we don’t have the same card as everyone anymore. Ugh. Really sucks because I lost my mynumber (but not zairyu) a week ago and I won’t have time to apply for a replacement until next week. So I’m guessing I’ll be stuck with this new one?

      So recently, I finally applied for a mynumber card but haven’t been able to pick it up because I couldn’t get an appointment. Should I go pick it up or get the new one or what should I do now ..
