Average gasoline and diesel prices in South Korea have fallen for the fourth consecutive week.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation’s price information system, the average price of gasoline in the second week of June dropped zero-point-five won from the previous week to two-thousand-nine-point-nine won per liter, or roughly one U.S. dollar and 32 cents.
In Seoul, where prices are normally the highest in the country, the average price of gasoline rose zero-point-seven won to two-thousand-51-point-five won.
The average price of diesel also fell zero-point-three won to two-thousand-four-point-eight won per liter.
Global oil prices, which surged earlier this week amid the protracted conflict between the United States and Iran, declined in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of an impending peace deal.
