MALTA, NY (WRGB) — A man from Malta has been arrested on several charges after an incident back in May.
On May 30th, Craig A. Simmons, 39, was allegedly involved in a car crash with injuries around 10:15 am on Ellsworth Boulevard in Malta.
An investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office indicated Simmons allegedly drove away from the scene while the victim was partially inside the vehicle. The victim sustained minor injury as a result of being struck by the vehicle’s side-view mirror.
Simmons is charged with committing a specific offense within 5 years of being convicted of a previous offense, aggravated family offense, criminal contempt in the 1st degree (class E felonies), and reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree (class A misdemeanor).
Deputies were directed to release Simmons on appearance tickets by the Honorable
