As of 9pm when you go to the BBC website… No coverage.
Even if you search for ‘restore nature’, ‘protest’, or ‘march’ you get nothing (though they do have a story on a march of thousands for Welsh independence).
Basically vindicating JSOs approach.
Four or so people, pennies of effort, flour on Stonehenge and paint on a plane result : instantaneous nationwide and international coverage, Chris packham on primetime TV explaining the issue clearly the next day. Also getting the important facts repeated on Jeremy vine, which apparently reaches over 6 million people?
*Thousands* of people assemble in the capital wasting significant money and time. Result: didn’t make the ‘proper’ news.
I’m aware other media organisations are covering it, but the official state broadcaster being silent is fascinating.
