Q: What market needs drove the creation of Hotmart, and how is the company reshaping digital commerce in Mexico?

A:Hotmart was born in 2011 from a simple idea: to help people transform their knowledge into digital businesses. At the time, creators lacked a single platform where they could create, market, sell and manage digital products. Today, Hotmart provides an integrated ecosystem that enables anyone with specialized knowledge — whether in gardening, cooking, fitness or professional coaching — to monetize their expertise through online courses, ebooks, memberships and other digital products.

Latin America has become one of the most dynamic regions for the creator economy, and Mexico plays a strategic role in this growth. The country is one of Hotmart’s largest creator communities in the region, reflecting the rapid expansion of digital entrepreneurship and growing demand for online education and knowledge-based businesses. Q: How has the creator economy transitioned from a content-driven trend into a legitimate engine for corporate job creation across Latin America?

A: There is a common misconception that the creator economy is just a passing trend or a hobby. In reality, we are observing a massive wave of professionalization. Creators are migrating from individual, informal setups to structured corporate models. They are not just launching digital products; they are building formal enterprises, hiring teams, and expanding operations globally. For example, one of our top five creators in Latin America is a Mexican entrepreneur who runs a comprehensive academy focused entirely on AI.

The numbers reflect this transformation. In 2024, the creator economy generated approximately US$10.8 billion across Latin America, and the market is expected to reach nearly US$98 billion by 2033, growing at a 27.8% CAGR, well above the global average. The ecosystem is also becoming more inclusive. Women already represent 47% of Hotmart’s creators in Latin America, significantly above the regional average for female entrepreneurship.  ( changed)

Q: What core commercial skills are becoming essential for creators to achieve long-term viability in this competitive landscape?

A: While technical expertise and creativity are key, the single most critical capability is commercial strategy. Anyone can design beautiful content, but turning it into an international, sustainable business requires robust sales architecture. Interestingly, high monetization is not strictly tied to massive audience numbers. Over half of our successful digital producers have fewer than 50,000 social media followers. The differentiating factors are audience engagement, value delivery, and operational consistency.

Long-term market survival separates those who merely execute isolated product launches from those who build integrated value ladders. Achieving commercial scale requires balancing quick impact via product launches with consistent, year-round revenue streams through evergreen products. When a creator establishes that structural balance, their model becomes highly resilient and attractive to international buyers.

Q: How is Hotmart integrating AI into its platform to amplify creator productivity and optimize business results?

A: Our position is clear: AI will not replace human infoproducers; it amplifies their output. We look at AI through the lens of business acceleration across three pillars: content design, checkout optimization, and automated recovery. First, on the creation front, we have deployed AI-driven onboarding tools. A creator can submit an idea, and our infrastructure assists in structuring the course syllabus, optimizing the pricing tiers, and generating targeted marketing copy. This has led to a massive surge in tech-forward content; between 2023 and 2025, AI-related educational courses on Hotmart grew by 700%.

Second, we utilize intelligent sales engines. While a student is consuming a course within our application, our AI dynamically recommends complementary product extensions from the creator’s portfolio at the precise moment of high engagement. Finally, on the administrative side, our AI-powered cart abandonment and debt-collection tools have recovered approximately US$220 million in revenue globally across 11,000 digital entrepreneurs. By standardizing automated installment management, we secure the creator’s cash flow without requiring additional staff overhead.

Q: What is Hotmart’s strategic focus for driving growth across Mexico and the broader region?

A: Our strategy is centered on helping creators build scalable businesses that can reach customers beyond their home markets. One of the defining characteristics of the creator economy in Latin America is its cross-border nature. Today, 74% of Hotmart’s transactions in the region take place between different countries, demonstrating the international demand for digital products created in Latin America.

Mexico is particularly well positioned in this environment. Among Mexican creators’ international sales, 35% are made to customers in the United States, highlighting the country’s strong potential to expand into one of the world’s largest digital markets.

Our role is to provide the technology, payment infrastructure and business tools that enable creators to scale sustainably, diversify their revenue streams and grow into internationally competitive digital businesses. (changed)
