Billionaire or not, Lidl employees, while under a lot of pressure, enjoy by far biggest salaries among food retailers. I mean, they get to have M5 bmws as a company car?! Who does that.

Their STACKIT is already a serious contender for European based cloud platforms.
They have the advantage of having build stuff in house for their own use and then were able to scale things up to have paying customers make use of it. Additionally at the size they are already at they have connections and reputation throughout Europe, which helps competing for contracts especially government contracts.
