NATO’s eastern flank is under fresh scrutiny after an unidentified drone entered Bulgaria from Romania and exploded near the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline. The aircraft reportedly slipped past both Romanian and Bulgarian detection systems before crashing close to critical energy infrastructure. Officials say the drone carried a significant explosive payload, but its origin remains unknown. The incident comes shortly after a Russian Kh-101 missile fell inside Poland during strikes on Ukraine. Is this another warning sign for NATO, or evidence that cheap drones can still penetrate its defenses?
