Russia has delivered a stark warning to Europe, accusing its current political leadership of moving beyond hostile rhetoric toward direct confrontation with Moscow. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said European countries continue to regard Russia as an “enemy” and are mobilising military capabilities against it. Peskov went further, claiming European powers are taking a “direct part” in hostilities against Russia, while saying Moscow currently sees little reason to expect relations to improve. With European nations expanding defence spending and military support for Ukraine, is the Kremlin now portraying its confrontation with NATO as an undeclared war?
