Roto began production in Lövő, Hungary 30 years ago. The plant went on to become one of Roto Frank Window and Door Technologie’s (Roto FTT) most important manufacturing locations. Today, the factory manufactures hardware solutions for windows and balcony doors.

Effective January 1st, 2027, the previously separate organizations at the Lövő production site and the electroplating plant in Sopron, Hungary, will unite under Roto Elzett Certa Kft. The merger builds on a step taken in 2025, when Roto FTT acquired the Sopron electroplating facility from its joint venture partner. The electroplating plant has been an indispensable part of the manufacturing chain, providing high-quality surface treatments for components produced in Lövő for decades.

Roto’s history in Hungary began in 1991 with its involvement in the Sopron site, followed in 1996 by the establishment of the Lövő production site. Today, the site spans nearly 1.5 million square feet, with an approximately 161,000 square foot manufacturing complex.

The company celebrated its 30th anniversary together with its employees.

    What Roto leadership says

“We are celebrating three special milestones in Hungary: 35 years of Roto in Hungary, 30 years of production in Lövő, and 25 years of the sales company. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated work of our staff. Lövő is a key component of our global manufacturing and distribution network,” says Marcus Sander, CEO of Roto FTT.

“Our success is driven by the people who work here. Many of my colleagues have been with the site for decades; in some cases, several generations of the same family work at Roto. This strong sense of community, the high level of professional expertise, and the willingness to play an active role in shaping change have characterized our site for many years and form the foundation for its success,” says Ernő Kocsis, Plant Manager at Lövő.
