You can’t fix brexit. It is *by its very (lack of) definition* ‘botched’.
The question of brexit. To leave the EU or to not leave the EU. Leaving the EU was a daft idea. We said it at the time, and we have been proven right every step of the way since.
How do you propose to fix this? The only option, to undo the breakage, is off the table, so there’s what? Get the superglue out? The Tories broke the window, but as long as you’re sitting on the evidence, it’s going to be a real pane in the arse to do anything about. Stand up, show the damage for what it is, and call a glazier, rather than appreciating the fresh breeze (and approaching maelstrom).
This sounds fine but in reality I’m not sure how feasible any real changes are.
>”We intend to improve our relationship with the EU and that means closer trading ties with the EU”
I’m very curious how he plans to achieve that without being in a customs union, single market or being a member.
If we can get free movement of individuals somehow, that would be a start…and save money!
