Military intelligence: so bound to be easily confused.

Intelligence officer gets regularly confused by road signs…lol. Probably has socks with right and left on them.

It’s a single-carriage A-road with dozens of 50 signs on the side. There’s nothing to be confused about there. This bloke wasn’t confused, he was being an absolute twat.

He pulled a Sakoolas, he is not going to be extradited and nothing is going happen
Deep-Guide-5609 on
Not sure what the point in extraditing him is as he will only get a slap on the wrist.
Though it’s pretty bizarre that Americans keep fleeing the country after they crash into people, it’s not as if the Uk has a reputation for being hard on criminals lol.
The woman that killed harry Dunn only got a suspended sentence that couldn’t even be enforced as she was in America.

What is it with American spooks coming over here and trying to murder our road users??
We’re going to need to start refusing bail to US army staff if this keeps happening
Ivashkin on
We should have a new policy. All US military personnel in the UK are to be considered flight risks if arrested, denied bail, and placed on remand until their trial.

Not confused, just driving dangerously and pulled the easiest excuse out of the hat when confronted on it.

>Isaac Calderon, 23, failed to appear at court and fled the UK after mowing down a woman on the A4103 near Shucknall last July.
I was very angry about the sakoolas incident. There is no way they’re leaving their posting without official US permission. Rather than making them sit a driving test, we should be asking them to vacate. It’s no different to any other “visitor” committing a crime. It’s also disconcerting that someone on police bail can just get on a fucking flight.

He was driving on the wrong side of the road. Hardly the fault of confusing signs.

Can anyone explain to me why we don’t have in this country any test for foreign license holders to be able to drive on our roads?
Last_Kaleidoscope_75 on
We have a ‘special’ relationship with the US where they can just murder people and get away with it.

Of course he’s American and was her on a military basis..getting a bit of Deja Vu here.

I’m glad we have such amazing military intelligence officers working for the country getting confused by road traffic signs lol should be immediately dismissed just for the embarrassment to the country

I don’t think Americans should be allowed to drive.

Having to daily drive in areas with loads of US drivers I can 100% attest that the minority ruin it for the majority.
Sure, some drive cars that are the size of small nations, some _really_ do enjoy still using LHD imports rather than RHD cars – fair enough. Most drive really well, obey the laws and that’s that.
But just like with Sakoolas I’m _terrified_ of what could happen someday, when someone is put at risk and regardless of age or anything else, based on nothing more than their job role someone can literally escape absolutely _any_ “justice” whatsoever for the consequences of literally _killing someone_ due to what can only be considered negligence, selfishness, incompetence and/or stupidity.
Overseas service personnel and/or government affiliated workers that are based overseas should still 100% be liable to face full consequences for these kinds of actions – if their knowledge and/or work means something amazing then just try and put them through a Military prison institution instead so it’s more secure, done and dusted.

Americans essentially don’t need to know how to drive to get a licence, their “tests” are pretty much a joke, their licences should not be recognised in Europe

Perhaps we should stop recognising US licences. [Some states’ requirements](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskAnAmerican/comments/i2arxb/which_is_the_easiest_state_to_get_a_drivers/) for a licence are laughably low.

Fleeing the country seems to be SOP for US agents who mow down UK residents ([Anne Sacoolas…](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Harry_Dunn#Collision))
