    1. > The Glasgow Greens and Rainbow Greens have decided not to march in the parade’s “Green Bloc” and will instead walk in a “‘No Pride in Genocide: Radical Bloc”.

There’s also no Pride in Palestine lol

Ah yes a free Palestinian state, where women will be stoned for trying to have basic freedoms and rights and gay people will be thrown off buildings!! Freedom! Liberation!

Palestinians: “Homosexuality is illegal in our jurisdiction”

      Everyone: “Er, OK”

Palestinians: “If we catch gay people we murder them”

      Everyone: “Er OK”

Palestinians: “Can you make your gay pride parade all about us please?”

    4. Christ, the “omnicause” has really done a number on Pride marches hasn’t it?

    5. >The Glasgow Greens said there was “no conflict between standing for a free Palestine and celebrating our queer identities”.

      The mental gymnastics is impressive

I feel like they’re slacking by not already making a version of the rainbow flag with the Palestinian colours incorporated like they did for BLM.

Besides that, this is a subject which a large part of the general population has well and truly moved on from.

I know it’s cliche and people have argued over this specifically thousands of times, but I still found this quote slightly funny:

      > The Glasgow Greens said there was “no conflict between standing for a free Palestine and celebrating our queer identities”.

    7. Feel quite indignant about this. Pride is about fighting for the rights of LGBT people but some people in the community forget that. This only seeks to alienate people within the LGBT community who do not want to protest for Palestine. This is a place where homosexuality is illegal and gay people couldn’t travel there safely even before the war started. It is not right to use pride to protest against Israel. There should be separate protests against what is going on there. But there are voices so vociferous that they forget what they are doing. These same people protesting Palestine are likely the same people who brushed the protests in Birmingham about same sex relationships under the carpet.

Can they allow any public event to happen without making it about them? It’s so tiresome.

    9. Not to mention this makes pride less of a comfortable or safe space for any Jewish, Israeli or Israeli-sympathetic queer people attending. Especially when the inevitable “from the river to the sea” chant comes out.

We heard a small number of people do this at London pride and every queer person I knew rolled their eyes and called it “chickens for KFC”

    10. >The Glasgow Greens said there was “no conflict between standing for a free Palestine and celebrating our queer identities”.

Wonder if actual Palestinians feel the same way.

      LOL
Gay Palestinians become refugees in Israel. Yes with passports. You can see them around Israel.

I lived in Gaza. This is so entertaining.
My friends and I share this in a WhatsApp group. Thank you for another link.
