More and more people are moving to online pharmacies now.

The one near us just closed, it could seem to compete with the independent pharmacy which is always busy; and there is a smiths picking up the tat trade.

more often than not I end up picking up my mother prescription from the local Wells (why she choose the place I have no idea) the place is some how both a mess and constantly has half empty shelves with stock that has not sold all of 2024.
The store only seems to be used as a place to pick up NHS prescriptions.
Comparing Wells to a local Boots, actually makes me think Boots are doing it right.

The pharmacy stores cost Boots a lot of money to run. No one goes into them to buy goods, just pickup prescriptions which they don’t make anything on.
Walgreens is trying to sell Boots and is desperate to get rid of parts of the business that don’t make money.

That site is completely unreadable. How the hell are Reach STILL this bad in 2024?

Who designed that website? It’s practically unusable and the stores aren’t in any kind of logical order.

This is a slightly confusing list. One of the pharmacies on there is one I know for a fact is not a boots pharmacy and is very much still open… so why is it on there?

7 closing in Hull alone. Given that so few independents remain this is going to be brutal for lots of older people who rely on them.
