    1. He did everything he could, and I’m sure his actions helped slow the guy down and possibly saved some lives. Hope he’s able to recover swiftly and comfortably.

It must be so hard for him wondering if he could’ve saved those girls.

Many will have thought about what they would do in the situation over the last few days and they’ll imagine all the things they would do right

He knows what happened and he did everything he could but he’ll forever go through all the alternatives he could’ve done- focusing on all the things he did ‘wrong’

I hope he has a good support network and maybe gets some help

Survivor guilt. The guy tried his best. Anyone saying they would do x and y have probably never experienced something like this. We all like to think we will be like Glasgow airport or borough market battering the threat in hand to hand…but sadly that’s not how we are programmed to react.

Little consultation when he sees the news, but his actions almost certainly stopped it from being even worse

    4. Most would probably get their phone and start recording.

He did his best and no doubt saved more lives

    5. Guys a hero, don’t care what anyone else thinks. To just have the courage to step into that sort of situation for random people as well is noble.

To be stabbed and upset you couldn’t do more is a whole lot more then I could ever muster. What bravery.

So often when someone does something heroic, they shrug it off as “the least I could do”. It’s incredible that he should take that belief and go on to think “and I should have done more.”

Running *towards* danger is awe-inspiring. Most people literally can’t, because all our instincts hold us back.

There are civilian gallantry medals and surely this guy is on the list now.

    8. Poor bloke, he did everything he could. I hope he gets the support he needs, I can’t imagine the trauma he has been through and what that will do to you.
