    1. This is just appalling.
Being in a wheelchair is hard enough, but when you have to travel long distances and your only option is the coach you really rely on the bus driver to keep you safe.
And the ghouls taking videos and laughing, I just don’t understand why people hate the Disabled so much.
Perhaps it’s because they realise that they’re only one accident away from being in the same condition, and they hate their own frailty and The fickleness of chance.

    2. I’ve seen drivers treat people on wheelchairs pretty badly. Sometimes they’ll drive off without them. But really the core of the matter is the companies treatment of staff and the pressure drivers are under to meet certain criteria, all of it ultimately driven by profit, which filters down to people at all levels being mistreated.

    3. Public transport is frequently appalling for disabled people. Doug Paulley’s youtube channel was eye opening for me. Legislation in this area should be strengthened.

    4. What I can’t understand though, as appalling as this is, is how anyone let’s this happen to them? I mean why don’t they speak up, say I’m not securely fastened in or whatever? Why let it get as bad as possible, terrible in fact, and still be saying nothing?

I could have it wrong as I didn’t read the piece as I couldn’t open it.

To be far bus drivers get paid shitall and have to carry cash. i would not feel comfortable getting out of my locked drivers compartment. could they not come up with a system for securing wheelchairs the users themselves can operate

Let’s first start him on Ozempic and we’ll progress from there.
P.S. I am obese myself and would dread anyone to have to carry me or do anything of the sorts.
