So within a few days, we have the far-right targeting mosques despite knowing the murderer is not a Muslim (not that it’s acceptable even if he is anyway) and TERFs targeting a female athlete despite knowing the athlete is not trans.

They know the killings had nothing to do with Muslims.

They don’t care, because they are racist cunts.

Scared of words like WOKE, scared of other cultures… scared of being irrelevant

The likes of Tommy Robinson and his suit wearing wannabe Farage, know this, they just don’t care and worse the suit wearer with a nod and a wink practically encourages it….
and the cunt has the audacity to cry assault when someone throws a milkshake at him.
Imagine how it feels to have bricks thrown at you, thrown at police, property destroyed etc. the same cunt who wants to remove human rights…so he can have more of this, no doubt.
Fuck him and his ilk, stealing oxygen for over 1/2 a century.

…they just want chaos and to incite violence against anyone who isn’t white as it fits their agenda.

    3. It’s going to get nasty! Think this has started sectarian politics and violence within the country!

Time for STARMER to shine doing what he did best … advising the CPS in prosecuting the thugs like there is no tomorrow even if a bottle of water is taken, he will ensure they prosecute it

    5. The same people cheering on the copper who kicked the thug in Manchester are now being thugs to coppers all over the country: a good job, lads, a fantastic display of intelligence.

I mean it’s expected. They just found a reason to be dickheads in public, they don’t care about the facts.

    7. I understand why people are angry and hopeless

Unfortunately they don’t, and they just want to chuck bricks at some brown people

If nonviolent (if annoying) climate protestors get 5 years in jail, then this lot should be getting a decade

As a Makem, it’s a sad day for the city. There’s often low level racism about (there was a church gathering from a ‘black church’ on the beach the other week and you should’ve seen people complain)-but it’s a sad day for us. I’m half ashamed of where I come from.

Pissed up arseholes and teenagers out smashing stuff up…people online complaining about two tier policing and saying it’s an expression of how upset ‘the people’ are with illegal immigration (this in a city with 93.6 white population-mainly white British)

I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it’s lack of education, poverty etc etc (which is true) but still you don’t smash up your city and fight the police to protest immigration

      Fuck sake

One silver lining I’m taking is that I saw one lad brought his special ‘Christmas’ England flag which had loads of glittery red snowflakes all over it…nice that he got the good flag out for the event

    10. Plenty of them frequent this sub.

Can’t ignore how many threads here routinely devolve in to fear-mongering centred on the Great Replacement, unchecked Islamophobia and the supposed crumbling of the mythic and seemingly monolithic “British Values” whatever the fuck those are.

Fine the shit out of them, don’t even bother arresting them – make them pay for every bit of damage until they have nothing left.

    12. AspirationalChoker on

This is only just starting isn’t it, extremes everywhere being opportunistic

These people are worse than scum. Using the deaths of innocent children as an excuse to be racist pieces of shit. Insecure, immature, deluded freaks.

    14. The second they raise a hand to the police, all bets should be off. Bring in the armed response.

    15. List the EDL as a terrorist organisation and bring in the army to disperse these pricks. The moment any of them cause a fuss, arrest them immediately.

Not a single inch should be given to alt right losers.

    16. Police station torched it seems (or at least attempted to, no doubt by people who a few days ago were firmly on the side of that cop in Manchester airport).

Time for rubber bullets and the water canons I think.

We’re almost 80yrs since the Nazis were defeated yet here we are again.

It’s easy to blame Russian disinformation or charismatic leaders like Tommy Robinson or Nigel Farage for this as it means there’s an extrinsic, easy to deal with solution. These people are wrong, they are wrong because they have been told the wrong thing, we remove the source of the wrong thing and they become right again.

But this is incorrect. The problem is intrinsic. Farage and co are the manifestation the same way these riots are. Ethnicity and faith, specifically Islam, have become much bigger parts and society since the BLM protests (Starmer even took a knee, signalling support for an explicitly ethnicity-based cause). Identity politics, although primarily focusing on ethnic minorities, is now playing out with whites who feel their ethnicity isn’t receiving the same patronage.

This is a much bigger problem. It’s the manifestation of white frustration with a system that has ignored their voice on immigration and integration for decades. It’s the culmination of no meaningful changes happening after the grooming gang scandals, or the Manchester arena bombing, or the stabbings of soldiers etc. It’s white communities feeling left behind while several billion pounds are spent on hotels for migrants.

Fixing it is going to be a lot more work and involve a lot more reflection than simply saying “they’re doing it because they’re bad people, and we’re going to crack down on their ability to do it”. If anything this approach of kicking the can down the road is setting us up for an even worse, more fractured future.
