Hundreds involved in violent disorder, a handful arrested. Unfortunately many won’t pay a price at all. That’s the practicality of policing riots.
Edit: apparently up to 90 now – which to be fair is more than a handful.
Something needs to be done to root this out before it starts really. Not much can be done about Telegram to the best of my knowledge, but governments need to start coming down hard on twitter and the people who run social media accounts on all platforms that spread lies and hate to facilitate riots.
It’s the people looting I don’t understand. Most of them aren’t in disguise. There’s cameras everywhere these days, do you really think you’ll get away with it?
In the 2011 Manchester riot a looter had just got out of prison that day, decided to help loot a Greggs of all places and went back to prison for nicking donuts. Way to lose your parole mate.
The culture of the perpetrators should be investigated and they should be better encouraged to adopt British values and integrate with the rest of the population.
