  1. Responding to the riots across England over the past week, Prime Minister Keir Starmer says he’s backing a wider rollout of facial recognition technology to track and prevent “thugs” from traveling to areas where they plan to cause unrest.

  2. Weird how they don’t need to identify all of the illegals coming in, but rather all of the citizenry who have lived there their entire lives.

  3. How about all the single men from other countries that have flooded in, starmer is a useless mother fucker

  4. Come on keith, the uk is already awash with facial recognition, gait recognition, etc etc etc

  5. Funny that right-wing fascist loving rioters push our society much faster towards an all-controlling fascist society, with violence.

  6. Yeah no, absolutely not. This is one of those things I was really worried about with Labour coming in (and I hate the Tories). The temptation to erode personal rights is much bigger with Labour.

If they were using this tech against the immigrants someone would be in big trouble. I think that’s very telling

  8. I can see that it would be really handy to know if you have the same people are attending each location, as the police can focus on identifying them. However If they do this wrong theyll just end up making a list of people who were in a public place.

But honestly these aren’t organised so much as they are amplified background noise. It’s the high-follower accounts that incite this sort of thing that are culpable, and they damn sure don’t attend. These people are throwing lit matches into our society yet sit on their hands when a fire starts.
