Sounds like we’ll run the risk of turning them into a race of super badgers.

      Is that what we want?

      Shocking! 😱

And here I was thinking “why do we bother with vaccines, just cull off the sick. Saves money on hospital costs to pay for more vanity transport systems!”

What they mean is… Culling fir cheaper in the short run, but costs in the long run. Vaccines are cheaper and more effective in the long run (always have been).

Unless capturing and vaccinating badgers is free, I expect that just allowing farmers to kill them (which wouldn’t cost the tax payer anything unless the ammunition is tax deductible) will be the option of choice.

So exactly like vaccinating our chickens against salmonella? I get that logistically it’ll be harder to do, but it makes more sense than just culling loads of them.
