      That said I do think it’s important that it’s not just right wingers who are passionate about free speech. It used to be a central liberal / left pursuit too. Not that I take Musks arguments first hand. It’s more a concern about upcoming legislation that may be deemed draconian

      Born in, and living in the UK, we are not (yet) at Soviet Russia levels of anything. It’s worth bearing in mind the riots were (at least in part) caused by malinformation spread on X and by the usual muckspreaders.

      We’re having genuinely troubling and difficult times here in the UK, and he’s lying about the UK locking up 4000 people for ‘thought crimes’. Typical American arrogance, which could spur on more violence and lead to people being harmed, or even killed. Something needs to be done.
