      Clearly these laws are not up to standard at all. Sentencing guidelines must change.

      There must be other news going on in the UK or is this country really just turning into some crime ridden hellhole?

      We do not treat sexual crime and rape in the uk even close to harshly enough. This sentencing is an absolute joke.

      This is what riles me. I don’t give a toss who commits the offence – male/female/origin/immigrant/white Brit, if you commit rape or sexual assault you should be doing serious time. End of.

      Not that it makes much difference, but the title has now been changed, presumably because it wasn’t correct. It now says:

      >’Predatory’ female police officer who sexually abused a schoolgirl between the ages of 13 and 15 is spared jail

      Which I think means that the game of the girl isn’t exactly known, rather than that the abuse went on for two years.

      But the rest of the article is quite unclear and seems contradictory. You would think with a case as serious as this the paper would try to get the story straight.

      They got me for jury service a few years ago. Most boring two weeks of my life. If they ever try to get me again, would I be able to get out of it by telling them that I have absolutely no faith whatsoever in our justice system, and that I find it so utterly broken that I simply wouldn’t be able to take the task seriously?
