    1. How’s this even considered ethical or legal? Surely anyone who’s willing to take such extreme health risks and give up a year of their life to grow 7cm should be considered too mentally ill/impaired to consent.

    2. This kind of behaviour should be treated with psychiatrists not surgery. Learn to love your body for what it is.

      In todays age of “6ft minimum” for guys I can understand doing whatever it takes to get taller

    4. Yes. The idea of having your legs broken, having a metal ratchet mechanism inserted, and having to regularly rotate them for the low price of £50k is something any sane person would do.

      A very disturbing and tragic story. She put all of her self-worth into her height, so it became an obsession. Therapy might have helped her to love herself as she is.

      It seems particularly surprising as women can easily wear platforms or heels to make themselves taller.
