Vtubing has become a more common form of content creation where you can mix virtual amd real forms of content for those who are wondering.

Recently read about an upcoming virtual concert with local and international Vtubers in Malaysia coming in October. High time for more variety in the concert scene. Not the first of its kind but with the vtubing community gaining traction, it could popularise this form of technology and cause more people to adopt it. This already looks attractive as it looks like a fighting game roster.

It is nice to see the virtual integrating with reality, at least beginning with the entertainment scene in Malaysia (I am speaking as a Malaysian in a Malaysian context).

In the not so distant future, let's say 10~20 or so years, if vtubing tech gains more traction and used more widely, I would say it makes advertising and entertainment more interative as a whole, rather than most adverts still being a one way glitter bomb in the face and moving on, metaphorically speaking.

Being able to talk to a virtual avatar about a product makes it more personal as opposed to just a TV ad and some flyers. Imagine getting something promotional after, say, taking a photo with a vtuber. Personally, it is not so much about the freebie, but more towards being able to give the virtual catboy some headpats.
