Sure, it sounds great to stash seeds for a global crisis, but the vault itself was hit by flooding caused by climate change. Plus, the seeds might not even adapt to future conditions when we need them most. Instead of relying on this ‘insurance policy’, she argues we should be doing everything we can to stop climate disaster before it happens.
