  1. Submission Statement

Chinese companies often get accused of copying Western technology, so it’s unusual to hear the CEO of such a major Western company bucking that assumption by calling on Western companies to copy China.

What Jim Farley is saying about cars is equally true about 21st century energy infrastructure. There is no doubt that China is the global leader in innovation there too.

Meanwhile in many Western countries, debate still centers around persuading some people that the energy transition to renewables is real and the age of fossil fuels can’t end quickly enough. Hostility to renewables, EVs and the energy transition gives China the edge.

  2. To be fair, China’s EV market has been killing it this year.. luxury class vehicles with hypercar performance for the cost of an average sedan in America.. honestly, if it was possible to buy one, I’d have multiple..

  3. I watched a video yesterday of a bunch of BD ev’s on their carrier fresh from the factory.

    They were on fire.

Give me a pickup that is a compact size, 2 wheel drive, and fits a sheet of plywood for as cheap as possible. I dont need power windows, or leather seats or a screen as big as a small tv. After market radio can make a comeback if I want one, or I can be ghetto and listen to shti out of my phone speaker.

Ford needs to Mae GOOD vehicles that people who earn minimum wage can afford. It’s what Henry ford did and why they were successful.
