Using ANC headphones in surgeries is a step towards better patient care in the future after years of people disregarding the effects of noise in the operation room on the post-operative recovery and anxiety. As this becomes more widespread, ANC headphones can soon be a standard in operating rooms just as sterilized instruments and surgical masks.

I actually also think that patient should have noise canceling headphones while inpatient. They’re constantly getting woken up by noises from different monitors.
