I can’t quite fathom how this was allowed to happen – prison phones are locked down to pre-agreed numbers for fairly obvious reasons.
There’s also a preamble when you answer of “This call originates from a prison in England or Wales”, though I guess that doesn’t matter if it’s a switchboard

Surely a phone in prison isn’t that secluded, can’t be hiding away from the screws. Therefore, how did he manage to make 54 calls and ‘feed the chickens’ without this wankathon being seen?

I worked for the Samaritans for 4 years the majority of my phone calls were exactly like this.

Yeah- I worked as a Samaritan a few years ago and there were so so many perverse phone calls from prisoners. We had banned lists and were told as soon as we recognised the call was a lude call to hang up- so creepy.
