      >The X owner has embarked on a long-running social media feud with the Labour government since it entered office in July, battling repeatedly with Prime Minister Keir Starmer on law and order, social media regulation and economic policy.

Did Starmer engage with this feud or is it just an American official causing shit on Twitter?

Why are they even on Twitter?

I suspect the Trump government will go so badly that by 2029 Reform may even try to distance themselves and pretend they’re not a poundland version tbh.

We should thank America for taking this bullet.

    3. Musk promising someone money and then trying to back out of it wouldn’t be anything new…

10 years I would read this article and assume Musk won’t donate the money. Politics has changed since 2014 and I’m no longer 9. He may not donate the money but Tesla or some charity he owns will do

    5. So he is panning to donate to Farage!

He obviously didn’t see his disastrous Question Timw appearance on Thursday?

    6. > However, the Reform UK leader did not rule out support from the U.S. president-elect or Musk in the future: “Are Trump and Elon going to support me in the run up to 2029? Well, that’s what friends are for, isn’t it?”

Foreign electoral/political interference is it not? I thought Nigel was against that sort of thing.

Known pathological liar and narcissistic wanker surely can’t be trusted.

I’m sure he will do it anyway, what are people going to do about it? Give him a stern talking?

But there is a strange donation from Leon Sumk which the origin can’t be traced.

Musk just keeps on making the case for why we shouldn’t create unaccountable Billionaires.

    10. He also stated that new Twitter would be all about free speech, pledged to give billions to solve world hunger and that his truck would be able to cross seas.

    11. If Starmer does nothing for Working people Farage won’t need a penny from Elon to win the next election.

I have to give it to musk; he’s doing a good job of constantly becoming more insufferable. Not content with his current status he’s reaching for levels of insufferability rarely seen, he really is a god awful person. Glad I stopped using twitter I encourage everyone else who dislikes him to do the same immediately

    13. oh it was a nothingburger based on people not liking either of them and someone saying “what if he gives Farage billions!!!” and people running with it?

There was never any evidence whatsoever

Can we do another one? I heard count binface is getting 100m from the norway sovereignty fund

    14. It’s like someone said on Sky the other week (Ed Davy maybe). Doesn’t matter how much of a bung is handed over by muskie it’ll never overcome the opinion of 80% of the population who despises #farageriots

    15. I’m sure he does, but we need to tighten it up. Foreign money can’t be allowed to compromise our elections and it needs to be done now. Musk can drip feed money into the war chest through small donations over the next few years.

Throwing money at Reform would be wasted without first getting PR.

But I think Farage, not Kemi, will be leading the tories into the next election. Kemi is totally unelectable for starters, and as Farage threatened in the second-to-last election, and as he made good on that threat in the last election, he has enough influence with too much of the Tory voterbase to kill their election chances.

      It’s a hostile takeover essentially.

    17. After-Dentist-2480 on

You mean it was yet another piece of shite from Farage to keep his company in the news and encourage other donors to chip in?

    18. I thought he was open about the £78 million he was pledging to Fromage and reform to overturn our democracy as he he believes we are all communists here and need Musk to come and take it over for Putin.
