My friend is doing the el camino and I would like to meet and walk it with him for a few days, maybe a week. He is doing the orange/red path (route 1) and I am wondering what portion of the walk will be the most exciting/best to see?

My plan would be fly to madrid, travel to a meeting point, walk for a max a week with him, then travel back to madrid to fly home (or maybe rendezvous to some sight seeing before I leave)
The last 100-ish kilometers, obvs.
First don’t say “the el camino”. El camino means “the way”, “the road”, so when you say “the el camino” you are saying “the the road”. You can call it by its English name, Jacob’s Way, or if you wanna feel special 6 and say it in Spanish say “the camino”.
Apart from that, depending on how much you want to walk per days and how many days, I would start in León and continue to the end. Ideally you should adapt the schedule to arrive in Santiago as it’s a nice experience.
no, Fly to Logroño–Agoncillo and take a bus to Léon and do it from Léon.
The 5ft is the best, complete but not a overdue, from oviedo to santiago, if you need more help let me know
The last week is without a doubt the best, plan to do about 20-30km per day. Set a goal of trying to do the last 150km in 1 week.
Best to ask in r/CaminoDeSantiago
