    1. > Mr. Musk’s endorsement of posts calling on Charles to step in and call an election betrayed his ignorance of how Britain works.

      What a fucking moron 🙈

    2. AcademicIncrease8080 on

Probably in large part because of the UK’s English language, and so our politics and culture is far more accessible than say, Germany or Italy. This doesn’t just apply to Musk of course, Britain is *disproportionately* discussed and analysed by global news media because it is just so much easier to look at what is going on here.

And Musk not being invited to an investment summit by Starmer in 2024 seems to have riled him up (same reason why he switched his support from the Democrats to Republicans, Biden didn’t invite him to an EV investment summit in America and this pissed him off) – basically he holds long-lasting grudges (which is not exactly a great personality trait but there we go).

    3. It’s just utterly deranged.

We’re seriously expected to believe that the far right, after years of poo-pooing all the hideous SA / DV stats and doing nearly nothing whilst in power to deal with the near decriminalisation of SA / DV..after years of pretending that the only women’s rights issue was that trans people exist, that they’re really mad about the grooming gangs issue.

..and they’re pretending that somehow this relates to Starmer, because some of the perps **who were prosecuted** were so whilst Starmer was DPP and because not enough was done following the many inquiries..when the Tories were in power? So now want *another* inquiry..rather than working on the conclusions from the ones done before?

Maybe the media should stop the daily reporting of every stupid thing he comes out with

    5. Let’s not settle with calling it trolling and call it exactly what it is: Attempted government meddling

    6. He thinks he’s won America, so now he’s trying to show he can control the governments of other countries. And he’s not going to learn a language to attack Macron or Scholz, so Britain is a natural target.

It’s such a shame he lost interest in firing himself off to Mars. The world would be a much better place.

    7. Man getting snubbed by lack of invite to investment event leads directly to his throwing of toys from the pram.

    8. He’s a whiny little brat with Dunning Kruger delusions, thinks he’s automatically an expert on any subject he comments on.

How can the richest person in the world be so miserable and pathetic? Most people do that for free.

    9. Significant_Fig_436 on

Think he’s pissy because he never got an invitation to the tec conference.plan b is to back farge so him and his billionaire buddys can asset strip britain.

    10. It’s the same lot that jumped on Corbyn Khan, Kier and Trudeau.

The Pied pipers leading the usual lot to have an ‘opinion’

It’s always astounded me that people on Facebook and Twitter in the UK have such strong opinions on Trudeau, when Canada has a b***** all to do with the UK.

    11. Radiant_Pudding5133 on

Shouldn’t the term “trolling” indicate that somebody actually gives a shit about what he has to say?

    12. ShockingShorties on

The guys a Bond villian who wants to own the world.

See, you kill off 007 and this is what happens 🙁

    13. Icy_Drive_7433 on

      He is the k-hole a-hole.

He’s upset because he wasn’t invited to the UK investment summit.

      He’s quite the little bitch.

    14. RaymondBumcheese on

He’s not trolling us and it’s not ‘strange’, he’s preparing to buy us like he just bought America.

I am absolutely fucking sick of the news pussyfooting around this. Its not playful bants, its not top trolling, It’s insidious and it needs to be called out for what it is.

    15. Musk has a strange fixation, or the media have a strange fixation with reporting everything he says like it really matters?

    16. No-Letterhead9608 on

Not really. He spent the last year focusing on the US.

Platforming nazis and fascists, changing the algorithm to amplify conservative right wing propaganda, running election interference campaigns, doing everything he possibly can to get Trump into power.

Next he moves onto the next biggest players in western geopolitics, Germany, France, and the UK. He’s trying to get far right parties into power all over the world. Trump’s locked in now so he’s focusing on Reform, Germanys AFD, etc.

Why? Why would the world’s richest man be positioning himself to centralize power and get would-be fascist dictators into office all over the world? Oh who knows…

    17. I wish we’d troll back. There’s so much we could do, like:

      * Every time Musk opens his trap, move another public service off of Twitter and onto BlueSky
      * Set up new net zero deals, praising the work of EV companies like Nissan, Volvo, and Hyundai to make vehicles that are reliable and don’t fall apart in floods or rain.
      * Praise our government workers, and state that they don’t need foreign billionaires to get involved to have a functional tax or motor system.
      * Investigation into tax dealing for Twitter UK’s HQ.
      * Ban government officials from joining *problematic* social media platforms like Twitter and 4chan.
      * Announce visa changes, praising the work of the US government to make it easier for immigrants to enter the US workforce.

Every time he decides to meddle, make things a bit more awkward for him. Eventually he’ll shut up, or realise that he’s being trolled back and throw a hissy fit.

    18. littlelosthorse on

The man has is own platform for stupid shit. Why are we giving him another one by reporting on it?

    19. It’s not a fixation. It’s strategic. Trump 2 is aligning the levers of govt much better than Trump 1 to deliver his agenda. To deliver the type of Europe he needs he needs the Tories back in power to be another lever against an increasingly self aware EU as an autonomous power bloc.

    20. I love the fact that I go to bed every night feeling happier and more secure in myself than the world’s richest man.

      And I’m nothing special.

    21. QuailTechnical5143 on

In all fairness though, he gets immediately trolled back…and his anger at it is glorious.

    22. godsgunsandgoats on

For me, his behaviour over the last several months (maybe couple of years) is the precursor to society gradually moving towards some blade runner/cyberpunk type bullshit. What happens next depends on political figures around the world having the spine to stand up to him and others. Otherwise we’ll move into a world where nation states hand over all power to corporations and we really will see what some refer to as neo-feudalism.

The depressing part is the political class in this country (on both sides) have already totally capitulated to private business and industry, and there’s nobody with the plumbs to stand against this and the private media apparatus that has helped bring about this mess.

Edit. On the more amusing side, he’s the most successful fucking loser I’ve ever seen. I look forward to witnessing the trump x musk car crash in action.

    23. No_Philosopher2716 on

People talk about the rothschilds, illuminati etc. secretly trying to control the world. Meanwhile, Musk is going from country trying to cosy up to as many politicians as possible to get them under him, all why publicly undermining anyone who opposes him.

    24. Musk is a foreign billionaire trying to meddle in British politics, where are the “we don’t want foreigners interfering in our politics so we voted for Brexit” lot now?

Oh yeah that’s right, they are agreeing with him. These self proclaimed “patriots” are anything but, they say they love this country, but their actions show that they hate it and want to sell it off to foreign investors.

The likes of Tommy 10 Names, Musk and Farage have no interest in making Britain a better place, they want to destroy it and pick the carcass clean like vultures making themselves better off at the people they claim to care for’s detriment.

I’m so tired of this shit, and I’m so tired of people falling for it.

    25. He’s not trolling it. He’s trying to destabilize it. He’s focused on the UK, because he does not speak any other languages to an extend to get involved in their politics. Australia is getting fucked by another rich billionaire already (that Murdoch-cunt) and New Zealand is too small.

Plus his handler Putin told him so.

    26. Not strange at all, now that Putin has taken America, he’s redirecting his assets towards making sure the UK falls into a Reform regime in 4 years time.

Which will also no doubt guarantee a Scottish Indieref and the breakup of the United Kingdom, and the destruction of a key part of NATO which guards the Greenland/Iceland/Scotland gap.

    27. He wouldn’t be able to ‘troll’ if the legacy media had done their job.

Now we now how complicit they are.

    28. Musk’s fixation with online discourse is how I know he can’t possibly be the business genius he’d like us to see him as.

Because it shows he has zero imagination… if I had his kind of money, you’d never hear a peep from me, I’d be sunning myself on a distant island drinking mojitos, I’d be having lavish parties and hey I might even chuck a chunk into charitable causes.

But there he is, squabbling on Twitter with anyone who’ll pay him an ounce of attention like a 14-year old basement dweller. Except he’s the richest man in the world. It’s pathetic however you look at it.

    29. He’s an egotistical narcissist. He has a fixation with trolling everyone. If he doesn’t get followers following him, he at least wants to cause controversy to get attention and remind folk he’s there being a disruptive knobhead.

    30. Equal-Technician-824 on

Sam Harris (something very closely quoted to) ‘we are witness to the self destruction of a character due to social media addiction, think about it he’s so addicted to social media he had to buy twitter.. and he tweets every day at all hours of the day, who knows what he’s upto, well we have a good idea, doing lines of ketamine and posting at all hours of the day

    31. He’s a South African, they have an inferiority complex regarding the British, no idea why. We have forgiven their funny accent a long time ago.

    32. Too much for somebody holding citizenship of two Commonwealth countries, one of them a Commonwealth realm.

    33. silver_medalist on

He trolls every nation. He has the mind of a teenage edgelord. It’s embarrassing shite.

    34. milkonyourmustache on

Let’s not make this out to be some lighthearted affair, the influence of money in politics (corruption) is a growing issue within western democracies, Musk is one of many in a long line of bad actors who seek to subvert the interests of the public by influencing politicians to make policy decisions that benefit their businesses at the expense of everyone else. Calling it trolling is just a means to dismiss the issue and have it be ignored.

    35. I used to like Musk till he got political. It’s not even necessarily his views its just he won’t shut up and feels like he’s losing the plot.
The more he makes comments on things that don’t involve his companies directly, the less intelligence he seems to have, or he has a product he might want to push.
His F35 comments were painfully stupid.
