    1. I like how in an effort to keep the reference rovers down here as accurate as possible, someone has to go and cut off bits of the wheels on our one whenever it gets a new hole on the ones on mars

      The rovers are car-sized

    3. Curiosity’s weight is 1982 lbs (889 kg) and is rought 6’x9’x7′ in size. Perseverance weight is 2260 lbs (1025 KG) and is roughly 9’x9’x7′ in size. They are nearly 5 times the size of the previous gen rovers opportunity and spirit, and 80 times the size of Sojourner which was just 25 lbs and ran on one 13 watt solar panel.

    4. I mena we spent years of public science education/reporting getting people to udnerstand that spirit and opportunity were tiny robots not car sized vehicles

      and then we spent years again getting people to understand that curiosity nad perseverance are in fact car sized machines unlike hte tiny robots before them
