From what I’ve been reading Merseyside police have been pretty terrible at every stage of this. The mum didn’t even find out she left a suicide note on her phone until 3 years later.

I’ve seen her mum on social media, who appears to have been fully taken in by the far right. Tagging Laurence Fox and Tommy Robinson in her tweets, etc. Her son was arrested recently and she was making claims it’s a conspiracy against her family. Seems to be dealing with a lot of trauma, understandably.

Why do “sensible” politicians and institutions do so little to help victims of sexual abuse that they end up in the care of the far right?

“She felt like she wasn’t believed,” Halliwell said. “I think to say to a 12-year-old child ‘it is going to take 18 months to two years to go to court, do you really want it hanging over your head?’ and ‘it’s your word against his’

Sounds about right. Absolutely tragic, the poor little girl.

    4. Whomever convinced her to drop the case, should be dragged up before court, they perverted the course or justice and led to a child killing themselves, no mercy they belong in prison and their name dragged in the mud.

Why the fuck is there an Elon Musk tweet mentioned in the article? Is that really an important enough detail? The SA and death of a 12 yr old girl wasn’t enough?
